Khloe Kardashian only agreed to star in a TV show to promote her shop.
The socialite and her sisters Kim andKourtney became international superstars when Keeping up with the Kardashians first aired four years ago, and despite their global stardom, Khloe insists she and her siblings were initially reluctant to take part and only consented in the hope of boosting business for their fashion boutique DASH.
“We were the sole employees six days a week and never had help for three-and-a-half years,” she said. “We were content working in retail. It took some convincing to agree to be filmed, but we could see some benefits. But we never thought it would be as big as it is.”
Khloe’s sister Kim insists she and her siblings have always worked hard for their success because of the lessons they were taught by their late father Robert, who died of cancer in 2003.
“Our dad had a really strong work ethic and taught us, you know, to take a job seriously and do our best,” she added. “We take his work ethic into all our businesses.”
As well as their boutiques, Kim, Khloe and Kourtney have several other business ventures, including an accessories line, which they created in order to make aspects of their lifestyle attainable for their fans.
“We love accessories and handbags. We wanted to make a line our fans could afford, instead of, you know, really expensive accessories,” Kim explained.
