Jennifer Lopez has learned to “stand on her own two feet”.
The On the Floor singer who announced her split from husband Marc Anthony in July, after seven years of marriage claims she now appreciates herself, and doesn’t get upset about the chances she didn’t take in life.
“I think I’ve learned in the past year or two is that I can stand on my own two feet, and to give myself credit for that,” she said.
“To really give myself a little bit of love, instead of always beating myself up for what I didn’t do or how I could have done something better.
“Just take a minute to appreciate the things that I have accomplished. I’m getting better at it, I think.”
However, the 42-year-old star admitted when times do get tough, she turns to the strong women in her life for inspiration.
“It’s the women. Through the ups and the not so ups, that’s the one thing that got me through,” she said.
“My grandmother, who taught me to cook and not be afraid to serve and be humble. And to go out looking nice because people like that and then they respect you.”
