Brooke Shields allergic to animals since motherhood

Brooke Shields blames motherhood for ruining her love of animals.

The former Blue Lagoon star thinks her various allergies to her furry friends are down to her devotion to bringing up her two children correctly.

“I love horses but I’m now I’m allergic to them. I have latent onset,” says Brooke, 46. “I’m allergic to everything now horses, dogs, everything. It’s since I started having children.

“I think it’s because we’re so over-sanitized these days. I’m always the mom who says, ‘Forget the ten second rule.

“I’m like twenty minute rule, eat it, fine!’ I’m totally that way. I’m like, ‘Just dust it off!’ But it hasn’t helped.”
