Robin Williams‘ wedding to Susan Schneider was “very intimate”.
The 60-year-old star married his third wife in front of 130 guests, including George Lucas and Billy Crystal, at the Meadowland Resort in California’s Napa Valley on Saturday, and friends have revealed it was a “joyful celebration” for those who care about the couple the most.
“It was a very intimate gathering of people who have worked with him, who really know him really well, and her close friends and family. It was very relaxed and truly a joyful celebration. It just felt good to be there,” a source told Peoplemagazine.
The pair recited vows they wrote themselves in front of Reverend Peadar Dalton.
“There were tears among many people present during the ceremony,” said another source.
Robin and Susan are now enjoying a honeymoon in the French capital Paris, where they have seen enjoying some of the city’s expensive shops, including Christian Dior.
They were even seen stopping and talking to a fan, and graphic designer Susan took a picture of him with Robin.
The Dead Poets Society star’s first wife was Valerie Velardi with whom he has a son, 28-year-old Zachary and he was married to her for 10 years until they divorced in 1988.
The former stand-up comic’s second wife was Marsha Garces and they have two children, Zelda, 22, and Cody, 19. Their split was legally ended last year after she initially filed for divorce in March 2008 citing “irreconcilable differences”.
