Eddie Murphy to retire from family films?

Eddie Murphy is going back to his Beverley Hills cop duties after impressing his Tower Heistdirector.

The 50-year-old comedy actor is set to reprise his role as wisecracking cop Axel Foley but it might be a while before he is back on the beat.

“I think there will probably be another Beverly Hills Cop but I think more so now than before because Eddie and I now have a rapport,” says director Brett Ratner who is also working with Eddie on next year Oscars ceremony as producer.

“Everywhere in the world he goes, someone’s like, ‘Yo, Axel!’ So I think there is an audience there. I’m hoping in the next few years there will be another great Beverly Hills Cop.”
