Gerard Butler 'I've got shot in the face Twice'

Gerard Butler got shot in the face with a pellet while shooting his new movie Machine Gun Preacher.

The Hollywood actor who plays the lead role of Sam Childers in the real-life story has revealed that during filming of the new Marc Forster directed-film, he was shot in the face two times with a pellet.

“I got shot twice filming Machine Gun Preacher. We were doing a big shootout and a pellet caught my eyebrow. I bled so bad that we stopped filming. Ten minutes later on the next shoot it happened again, in exactly the same bloody place.”

“When I was younger,” Butler added, “I got chucked in prison a couple of times. I was a wild child, travelling the US, drink-driving and breaching the peace. I went from being incredibly self-destructive, struggling to find my place in life, to acting and getting my s**t together.”

Butler recently revealed he has started smoking again after a night out with Hollywood pal Russell Crowe.

The Scottish actor managed to quite the cigs for four years after more than 40 attempts to quit.

But he confessed that he was drawn back to smoking after partying with the Gladiatorstar in the summer.

“I was smoking then I stopped for four years,” he said.

“It took me 40 attempts to stop. I was hypnotized 23 times, I had my veins injected with sodium pentathol had my ears electrolyzed and my hands lasered.

“About three months ago, I was out with some friends Russell Crowe was one of them. There was 12 of them and 11 of them were smoking. That was it, I was off.

“It was only a month, it was a little blip. I’ve got to tell you, it was horrific.”
